Our Purpose and Vision
MAPS Construction endeavors to send construction teams assisting AGWM missionaries to: reach the lost with the gospel, encourage the local missions effort by developing partnering relationships, and help give MAPS team members a vision for missions by broadening their understanding of how God can use them around the world as well as in their local church.

God's Miraculous Power at Work in the Suffering Church

God is working around the world, even in places where Christians face severe suffering for the sake of the gospel. Here are two inspiring stories reported by a missionary in a North African country.
Ahmed’s Dream
As tens of thousands of people from this North African country come to faith in Jesus, terrorists from a major religion have also increased their violent activities. What is giving so many people from this major religion the courage to put their faith in Jesus Christ in spite of increased threats from religious fundamentalists? It is the manifestation of God’s miraculous power across the country that is giving earnest seekers the courage to commit their lives to Christ, whatever the cost.
A short time ago, Ahmed* was one of the terrorists hiding in the forests. He was not only hiding from government troops but also from God. Ahmed had recently heard a believer talking about Jesus. His heart was warmed as he listened, but he quickly hardened himself to the message because of his commitment to his radical religion.
Designate one day a year as World Hunger Day

World Hunger Day is a “united act of compassion” of Assemblies of God churches across the United States as they respond to desperately hungry people in our nation’s inner cities and the starving needy around the world. Churches and believers across America join together to reach out and touch poor and suffering people with the compassion of Christ.
Assemblies of God churches are encouraged to recognize World Hunger Day the Sunday before Thanksgiving each year. However, if a church’s calendar does not permit this, World Hunger Day can be emphasized on any Sunday.
